Past Simple The man didn't spit on the pavement last night. The pavement wasn't be spat last night.
Past Continuous The man wasn't spitting on the floor five minutes ago. The floor wasn't being spat five minutes ago.
Present Perfect The man has never spat on the rules. The rules have never been spat.
Past Perfect The man hadn't spat on the goverment by that time. By that time the goverment hadn't been spat.
Future Simple The man won't spit on the carpet. The carpet won't be spat. 
Future / Be going to The man isn't going to spit on you. You aren't going to be spat by the man.
Modal The man shouldn't spit in this place. This place shouldn't be spat.
Future continuous The man won't be spitting on the floor in five minutes time. The floor won't being spat in five minutes.
